Toyland Recording Studio is a dedicated music production facility, offering various audio recording, mixing, editing, and mastering services for music and post-production. The studio is owned and operated by producer/engineer Adam Calaitzis; Adam has over two hundred album credits, and twenty five years experience recording Melbourne bands and solo artists.

Music Recording
From solo artists, bands of every genre and style, to a full orchestra – we’re equipped to record all manner of ensembles, and can tailor a package for everything from a quick demo to a cohesive and release-ready produced album.
Toyland Recording Studio services include: analog and digital multitrack recording; audio editing; quantizing; triggering and samples; adding sound fx; audio sweetening and sound design for media; MIDI sequencing; recording full bands live, or overdubbing players one at a time. With a flexible approach, we welcome bookings to suit the size and budget of your project – from just tracking drums, to handling every aspect of production.
Mixing
In addition to mixing recordings tracked at Toyland Recording Studio, we can mix sessions captured in your home or another studio – we have the expert knowledge and professional facilities to bring your recordings up to a release and broadcast ready standard, and help you to get the best out of your tracks.
Audio Editing
Dance Schools, professional dancers, aerobics competitors, professional fighters, you name it… we can customise your music and sound FX to fit your needs, and add the extra dimension to your performances.
CD Mastering
We offer in-house CD mastering including balance, tone and loudness adjustments, compiling, editing and sequencing your songs into an industry standard CD master – or any format required, such as iTunes, web streaming media, BluRay and DVD, and broadcast audio.
Voiceovers, Post production, Video Sweetening
Including recording voice over actors, editing such as de-breathing and spacing, adding music and sound FX to videos, radio and TV commercials, and fixing problems with location audio.
Rehearsal
Toyland is not a rehearsal studio, however we do offer a special “record your rehearsal” service. This can be a good first step for emerging artists interested in progressing towards recording an album, in establishing some studiocraft basics and a rapport with a professional engineer and producer.
Vinyl Record to CD
Do you have a old record that you would like to transfer to CD or move into your iPod? We can provide a straight transfer for a flat fee of $40.
